Doing UoR Bit is an interactive programme for all staff and students at the University of Reading that rewards you for behaviours that improve individual and university-wide sustainability and wellbeing. Small actions add up to make a big difference and everyone has their part to play in addressing the Climate Emergency. From saving energy and water where we can to opting for active travel, or thinking about the impact of our diet. It's all part of the University's 2020-2026 Environmental Sustainability Strategy - so get involved via Doing UoR Bit!
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by countries across the world on September 25th 2015. The set of goals addresses ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all, with specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
The University is committed to working towards the 17 SDGs, embedding them across the Curriculum, into the campus, and wider community. We strive to integrate the SDGs in all we do including in our learning, teaching, operations and own personal behaviours.
For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to play their part. And that’s where Doing UoR Bit comes in. The Doing UoR Bit programme encourages staff and students at the University of Reading to take extra steps to improve sustainability and wellbeing, both on campus and further afield, and contribute to achieving the SDGs.
